Kwadwo Asamoah is counting on the immense team spirit within the Black Stars team to carry Ghana to another World Cup finals in Brazil.
The Juventus midfielder scored a cracking goal to help the side to a 2-1 win over Zambia on Friday.
The win sees Ghana progress to the playoff stage of the qualifiers with their opponents yet to be determined in a CAF draw later this month.
The Black Stars are now on the verge of making a third successive World Cup finals haven impressed in the 2006 and 2010 editions in Germany and South Africa respectively.
And Asamoah believes the strong bond amongst Black Stars players will provide a very useful trump card in seeing Ghana through.
“It is still not yet over, we still need to focus on our next games ahead of us and we still need to fight harder because it is not an easy job,” he said after Friday’s win.
“With this motivation and this spirit we are going to move forward because as you can see we have love amongst ourseleves, we played together, that is the team spirit and I think with that we are moving forward.”
