Argentina are considering setting up a friendly game against Ghana in their build up to the 2014 World Cup to help them face Nigeria in next year’s tournament in Brazil.

According to reports from Argentina, the country’s football federation have penciled down Ghana as one of the countries to play to help them have an idea about the Super Eagles of Nigeria.

The South American team are pondering over a friendly with either Ghana or the Ivory Coast on June 4.

This would enable them sharpen up for their final group game at the World Cup against Nigeria.

The Argentinians will face the Super Eagles for a third time in the same group after 2002 and 2010.

Ghana on their part have a tough task to progress out of a group that comprises Germany, Portugal and the USA.

  1. Tanko says:

Strategically that match is not in Ghana’s advantage. We are not facing South American opponent. Of cause yes, it would benefit Argentina. It does not make any sense to play that friendly. We need Italy, France, Nederland and even England but Argentina should out of the equation, period!

  2. kuukuphilly says:

@tanko,u r not lying but what in the event we ended up with a south American in the knockout stages? to me any formidable opponent will do…LONG LIVE BLACK STARS OF GHANA.

  3. marktonto...Columbus says:

@ Tanko,we can meet a South American team if we make it out of the group

  4. Marcus Ayew says:

C’mon guys this match will be very good for the Black stars to sked. What better player can get are defense ready to play CR7 then Messi? It would be a great test GFA needs to make this match happen!

  5. Tanko says:

Our main focus should be on the group stage and by the time we ll be facing any South American side arrives, we are already in full gear. In other words, our concentration should centered within our group. We spread our wings now, we will end up getting our feathers bruised or possibly cut to shred. It’s only a word of caution

  6. Mumbi says:

Lies, Argentina has never considered playing against Ghana but their plans are under way to meet the 2012 afcon champs in a friendly. Trophyless men please look 4 your fellow trophyless gays 4 a friendly.

  7. Paradox says:

Mumbi, you need to grow up, leave Ghana alone. We Zambians failed to beat Ghana and progress to the next round, so its its time to stop hating and start support our African brothers.

  8. kuukuphilly says:

@mumbi,dick….as u can see we’re engaging ourselves in real talk so dont start shit if u cannot finish it,wu maame yaasi wati.bl3de fool!

  9. papa nkrumah says:

I like the idea of Messi, Arguero, Negredo or Tervez facing our defence and trying to get past Afful, Opare, Boye and J. Mensah. Please make this match happen GFA. It will be one of the best preparations we would have for the world cup.
