Kotoko’s National Circles Council (NCC) are calling for the appointment of Coach David Duncan as the next technical handler of the Porcupine Warriors.

They say, the former Olympics, Ashgold and Hearts of Oak trainer has the wherewithal to coach Kotoko.

The supporters’ umbrella body, according to Communications Manager, Kwaku Ahenkorah on Monday, met Manhyia Palace’s Chief of Staff, Kofi Badu to make known their desire to see management appointing David Duncan as replacement for Coach Mas-ud Didi Dramani.

“It was a meeting involving the NCC executives and the Chief of Staff of Manhyia Palace. They made known their preference in terms of who becomes Kotoko’s next coach. They mentioned Coach Duncan” said Ahenkorah.

“They would want him as Kotoko’s new coach” he added.

The Kotoko coaching post became vacant when the Board of Directors of the club instructed Coach Didi Dramani to proceed on leave last week.

Management has maintained total silence on who replaces Didi in the face of widespread reports that, they have settled on Duncan.

With the position taken by the NCC, Coach Duncan has easily earned the support of the Circles and that could prove vital, first with his chances of securing the job besides enjoying his stay at the club.
