Ex Ghana international Otto Addo
Ghana coach Kwesi Appiah is hoping ex-international Otto Addo, who is currently on the coaching staff of German side Hamburg, would join the Black Stars technical team in future.
The 37-year-old is currently a junior coach at German club Hamburg after retiring from football in 2008.
Addo who is with Hamburg on a training tour in the UAE took time off to visit the Black Stars camp in Abu Dhabi where the team is preparing ahead of the 2013 Africa Cup of Nations.
After a hearty interaction with the players, technical and management team, coach Appiah expressed his wish to have the ex Borussia Dortmund player join the Ghana backroom staff in future.
“Now that you are into coaching I hope that one day you join so we all join hands to build the team,” he said.
Addo joins a few list of successful ex Ghana internationals who have veered into coaching.
Ex Ghana teammate Ibrahim Tanko and CK Akunnor are the others to have gone into coaching after their retirement.
