Stephen Appiah has refused to throw in the towel following a recent botched move to Iranian club Perspolis.

The ex Ghana captain arrived in Tehran last week to sign for Perspolis but for a last minute hitch.

Reports are rife that coach of the side Manuel Jose simply does not want Appiah who came in through the recommendation of the club’s President.

But the ex Juventus and Fernabahce midfielder has taken the recent setback on the chin and says he will keep trying.

“Of course I feel disappointed especially with the reports coming through over the failed move but what can you do?” he said.

“I will not give up, I will try and try and try until I succeed.”

Appiah hanged up his international boost after the 2010 World Cup in South Africa.

He joined FK Vojvodina on a short-term contract last season but decided against extending his stay in Serbia.
