Ghana midfielder Anthony Annan wants to excel at the 2013 Africa Cup of Nations to revive his club career at Osasuna.

The 26-year-old pocket-size midfielder is on a year-long loan from German outfit Schalke 04.

The Ghana star signed for Osasuna with the hopes of reviving his career after being unable to make a name for himself in Germany and Holland, but finding it increasingly difficult to get consistent minutes in Pamplona.

He has made just six appearances for the side this season and the Ghanaian wants to use the continental showpiece as a springboard to revive his club career.

“I am not getting regular playing time and it’s a worrying situation for me,” Annan said

“I am praying I do well at the Nations Cup because that will be like a launchpad to break into the team.”

Annan is a sure candidate to make the final 23-man squad for the tournament in South Africa which begins from January 19- February 10.
