The attacker, who is in South Africa with his Angolan club Petro Atletico de Luanda on their pre-season tour of in Johannesburg, says his gesture is to motivate his colleagues to go all out in the CHAN tournament.

“Once the team is here and I am also a Ghanaian, I need to do something to encourage my colleagues,” Acheampong told www.ghanafa.org after his presentation.

“Motivation is very important in football and at this stage we need to progress from the group stage. I thought about coming here to motivate my colleagues so I asked permission from my club and it was granted.

“It’s nice seeing all of them and I have been very impressed with their composure and togetherness.”

“I haven’t had enough time to watch the games but I am confident they will go all out in this competition, he said.

No disrespect but $2000 for a whole BS team? What a joke!!!. Ben thanks for the kind gesture but no thank you. I would have prefer you visit them without nothing.

$2,000 is a joke?!! Do you know how much the guy is paid in a month? And do you also have any idea how much the BS players are given as winning bonuses? Some of these local players do not even earn up to $200 a month from their various clubs! If you don’t appreciate what he did, others do.
