Andre Ayew to rejoin Marseille in Morocco after Ghana axing

Andre Ayew to travel to Morocco on Monday night to join Marseille teammates

By Ameenu Shardow

Andre Ayew will rejoin his Marseille teammates on Monday night at their training camp in Morocco just hours after he was axed from Ghana’s 2013 Africa Cup of Nations squad.

This follows the decision of Ghana coach Akwasi Appiah to leave the 23-year-old out of his team for failing to arrive in Ghana’s training camp for doctors to assess his fitness.

Ayew had picked up a hamstring injury while training with his club last week.

The situation saw the son of Ghana legend Abedi Pele miss the Saturday deadline to join the Black Stars camp in the UAE to be assessed by Ghana’s medical team.

Ayew again failed to meet a two-day extension to arrive in Abu Dhabi on Monday – leading to the coach’s decision to leave him out of the Ghana team for the Nations Cup to be hosted by South Africa.

The midfielder will now rejoin his Marseille teammates who have pitched camp in Morocco ahead of the resumption of the French Ligue 1 this weekend.

Ayew is expected to be out for an initial five days and will be able to play for his club once he recovers.

This development is bound to spark a fresh debate over his exclusion from the Black Stars squad with Ghanaians divided over the decision.

    hmmmmm….am smelin a rat here!!

    • say it loud says:

It is as if Appiah was too happy to drop Dede from the team. Why the haste. Ayew was seeking medical treatment. Let no man deceive me that the Black Star medical team are better or have better equipment for treating the players than their foreign club doctors. A few examples will do here. When Essien was sick in Spain he had to come to Chelsea medical team because they treat him and know his problems better. Again did we not hear Essien accusing DR Percy, the then BS doctor of mis- diagnosing his injury and worsening his injury. If Dede had come and aggravated his injury wont he be left to his personal doctors to cure? If Appiah wanted to work with him he would have rather found out what exactly was wrong and in consultation with Dede’s doctors decide whether he could be healed before time. Would this has been the first time Ghana would be sending a player to a tournament hoping he will be healed and play as we progress. Even worse players have been sent to tournaments injured how much more a player of Dede’s caliber. We have sacked our best player because we dont want he and his brother in the BS. I wish Appiah all the best with his mediocre selection. God save Ghana from Nyantakyi and Appiah

      • say it loud says:

I see Appiah’s problem he does not know who to drop from the 26 man squard so if you hint of injury he drops you and tell the world you were dropped because of injury. WHAT KIND OF COACH DOES NOT KNOW WHO MUST E IN HIS SQUARD. What a joke.

        • Big mouth says:

Thank you. from the onset, i said on this forum that once Plavi has been given the boot, so should Akwasi Appiah too be given. If this mediocre coach has a system or style of play in mind, he wont even think of letting a player like Dede’s caliber go to waste cheaply in this manner. As an assistant coach to all the past white coaches, he did not learn anything. He is such a waste and lacks the aggression need to succeed as a coach.

          • LMAOO says:

Your comment makes me laugh honestly. The fact that Ghana cannot come up with a good team chemistry is the reason why the team is weak! Look at the team chemistry we had in Germany 2006; Essien, Muntari, Kingston and Appiah. And none of these players were too big to report on time. Our current players are honestly spoiled!

I am going to pray hard for the team because at the end of the day the team is bigger than Andre, Jordan or even the coach Akwasi Appiah.

            Go Ghana! Go Black Stars!

          • abs says:

a player of dede’s caliber? huh? u saw him agnst Malawi.we’v seen how unfit players hav performed @ AFCON. Laryeah in 2008, Essien in 2010, Gyan in 2012, no more of such mistakes. if he’s injured he shd take time to heal

      • Big mouth says:

This is was a Nigerian fan got to say,” GHANA’S COACH IS WRONG, COSTLY MISTAKE AND IMMATURE DECISION. Shooting yourself on the foot!!!! Why axed your best player? for what – glory or shame? Oh Africa, and yet they were chasing Ballotelli and KPB ? WoW !!!”

  2. Fu-Chu says:

@Simple, the Ayews loved playing for Ghana. We need to ask ourselves how have they been treated by the GFA and coaching staff? Till then no need for any of us to pass judgment.

    • Asem says:

how were they treated????not calling up Jordan has become a crime??pleaseee!!

      • mukmin says:

They are treated like shit let’s call a spade a spade, Jordan deserved to be on the team what has Yiadom done to merit a place ahead of him? How many opportunites were the likes of Tagoe, Adiyah and Gyan himself who was misfiring badly at can 2008 it was Agogo, Sulley and Abeyie who carried the team. Gyan has threaten to quit the team multiple times and actually took a self imposed exile and the coach and FA were running around kissing his ass. How many goals has he scored to the blackstars since he moved to UAE. Dede played through a swollen ankle in the U20 tourney and a dislocated shoulder last cup of nations and he is quick to be vilified over trivial issues he’s this he’s that he didn’t acknowledge his teammeates issue a public apology. How many times have the FA gone to beg Essien to rescind his decision even Prince Boateng but swift to condemn the Ayews. A big double standard we have here these people went to Italy on numerous ocassions to pursue Balotelli this is ridiculous.

    • Jin Tao says:

What you need to ask is how they never gave the white men any problems but trying their best to control their own brother from their own country?

  5. Lèshaq says:

Something is wrong here, Ayew suppose to be with the team on mondey. He fail to turn up for reasons to see his doctor so wednesday according to the statement of the coach, hence he was axed. Now his has joined his club on the same monday. What the hell is going on? Where the truth lies.

  6. dede#1fan says:

akwasi god is watchn u for axing dede..the last afcon dede played with pain for ghana n now they dnt recognize that…shame on u…dede wil shine with marseille…

  7. aa says:

Do people realise that this dude is just in his early 20′s? He has been working with many coaches before Akwasi Appiah and why is Akwasi Appiah giving him this unnecessary grief? I do not think he will as though he is part of the team after what he has done for the country. He has a reputation to live up to that is bigger than any footballer in the Ghanaian squad. You haters have known this boy since he was with Sellas Tetteh. Is it today that we can start calling him names. He is better than Atsu so people should stop comparing him with Atsu. He has world records and Ghanaian records that Atsu can only dream of. Why are Ghanaians so foolishly jealous? I doubt if we will get anywhere. Opponents will just be smiling at this stupidity

  8. aa says:

    Jordan is better than clottey

  9. yurigagarin says:

Infact dez kwasi appiah or wh@ ever dey call him is not serious wh@ kind of desicion is th@ is it deciplinary mesure or wh@? nonse d@ is not decipline…….any serious minded coach will have let him come for assessment not to exclude him d@ is very stupid of him now he is to join his marseal teammates….hmmmmmmmm.let us b serious for once…..he shd stop killing de spirit of some of his players……….sme one who eventually want to die for his country……..gfa need come out nd explain……u h

  10. maka says:

When fools wanker, the wise and simple smile! Akwasi Appiah hasn’t helped Ghana football…ever since he was captain,….and he never will as a coach!

Early exit @ AFCON awaits….and no qualification for World cup is pending! Akwasi Appiah and Akwasi Nyantakyi must all go!

I keep saying…the blackman is either stupid, simple and slow—or ALL of the above!

The reasons giving for Dede’s axing is plainly stupid! ANDRE wasnt involved in any of your training sessions, ..so I ask, Akwasi, do you need training sessions to know if Andre is good/fit or not? We know he had a hamstring, so why not allow him to recover and then return on Wednesday as he promised? Does anyone here know how much impact that will have on his injury if he traveled all that distance to the training base from France? If you know you shall include a player, you don’t need all the skirmishes Appiah has demonstrated. See Gordon Igesund of SA, he called and included Serero who is just recovering from a groin injury. When asked, he said it will be better if Serero plays for even 45 mins, because the can make a difference.
Togo is doing everything to include Adebayor…and there are many others like that! And you axe a player for not meeting a deadline..just that…and you think you are disciplining him?

We all await and see…some fire is about to fall on both Akwasi Nyantakyi and Akwasi Appiah. We all live to se…Akwasi Appiah….pray o..pray, that you dont exit the 1st round…just pray…cos if Nyantakyi wont, he alone can’t keep your post for you. Others who are part of the GFA and even more influential than Nyantakyi are watching and waiting for your head!

This coach isnt taking Ghana anywhere–it is now that our soccer is about to sink more…despite all this younger generation of great golden players coming up! And sometimes I ask if the GFA is either stupid as a bunch or not—why was the job not given to Selas after the world cup victory and the BS coaching job became vacant?

Kwasi Appiah had to prove himself with the U-20s 1st…b4 this job! We shall see…cos the axe is about to really fall on this silly coach and the corrupt Nyantakyi!

    BLACK MAN, BLACK SENSE!

  11. Anokwale says:

I find it interesting that everyone is siding with Dede. I like Dede but if you are committed to your national team then show up for training. Very simple. The coach cannot allow non-chalant behavior. You know Ghanaians…You let one worker leave for a week for the funeral in the village then the next time someone leaves for a month, the next time someone goes abroad for six months…Priorities please.

    • dadaba says:

Anokwale you are soo dumm I can smell it from here, what part of the hamstring injury didn’t you get.

    • Kay says:

You are intentionally refusing to understand what everybody is saying. WHY DO YOU AXE YOUR EXPERIENCE PLAYER WHEN HE REALLY WANT TO JOIN THE SQUAD JUST TWO DAYS AFTER THE DEADLINE?
The Coach refused to call Muntari, Jordan, Warris, Asare, Quincy, John Mensah and axed Dede too?

      • LMAOO says:

You too how stupid can you be? Some Ghanaians rush to make comments b4 they do their research. Essien was axed from the 2010 world cup cuz he was recovering from his injury. Go back and do ur research cuz in 2008 the GFA made the decision to never take any injured player to any tournament or a game.

For now lets judge the coach solely on his results instead of all these drama!

    • Africanus says:

Because of that you drop your, arguably, best player in the team. Our opponents will not be able to believe their luck… All Dede asked for is a few more days to heal properly, is that a crime??? Don’t we all know what Dede is capable of already, did Kwasi Appiah need to see him play in training to decide???

  12. Congoman says:

It’s all good for us, it’s lovely for DRC Congo. One less player to worry about.
Why doesn’t the Kumasi coach axe your penalty missing Asamua Gyan too??.Lool.
Even Niger want to have this BS team for breakfast.. Mark my words the Leopards of Congo will reap this team off.

    • nana says:

this is sadly true, with the players AA ha dropped no doubt the team is weakened, but ‘congoman dont be confused to think gh is finished we still hve a few left with heart such as k asaoah and badu, wakaso, annan, defendrs such as vorsah, boye, I know your team well and i know it will not be easy but we re the gh blackstars 4 time winners and despite this senseless coach my boys mentioned are coming for da 5th one in kasa i trust, ayew ihope the boys do well for you

  13. JT says:

The problem here is the ATTACKING MIDFIELD someone who can take on opposing defenders fearlessly, seems like Ghana doesnt have many as before. If you look at the squad most of the mid are defensive midfielders making it hard for the strikers to score

  14. bullmaan says:

Ghana going out in the first round

    • Ghanaman says:

      In your dreams!

      • nana says:

ghnaman take tht comment more seriosly now, all the other teams in our group have gone for experience n youth and eg mali have all their stars this time around – sissoko.diarra.kieata all in midfild also the team we are forgetting abt congo i feel aree stronger than mali boasting stars like moukbani (7 goals in champs league current top scorr) alongside him we all know mputu of tp mazebe also samba and boxto box premeirship star mulumbu and more. So our boys have to be serios or it could happen mate. Axing dede does not help despite his lil ego we all know that boy will die for gh and those type of players u bring to a tournemnt dumb coach kmt

  15. Hafiz abdul mutallib says:

    Hmmm…!!!, ghanaians.

  16. henry says:

Well i do not think we need to pamper this boy he is just faking this injury becos his bro was left out how i wish he was even stripped off the 10 jersey why is he the only player in Ghana pls give us a brake

    • Modern Guy says:

Henry you think through your anus. FOOOL!!! Have you been watching OM matches? It is always they play together? Do they complain or feign injuries because of that? Grow up. He is injured and seeking medical treatment from his club doctor first before reporting to camp on Wednesday. Michael Essien had to leave Madrid and go back to Chelsea for treatment because they know his conditions better.
The sad part which you don’t know is that like he was treated and ridiculed the other time about his behaviour in Malawi, he got news of his exclusion in the media. He was not even informed. What kind of manager would do that? Much as you are the coach and you make the decisions, you should also respect your players because you need them to succeed. Why couldn’t he at least tell Dede that given the situation, I would not be taking you to the AFCON before going to the media as usual? Are there no channels within the GFA structures for handling such issues than the media? Is he the first coach under whom Dede is playing? Why didn’t Le Roy, Milovan, Plavi all complained about him and his attitude? Think well and ponder over these issues. It is an orchestrated plan, which was earlier reported on this and other websites of some faceless GFA officials trying to frustrate him at the AFCON and because he is a child of God, God decided to exclude him from such frustration using AA as the instrument.

      • Sammy says:

Henry. You already have a break from thinking. You don’t need another break. Face it. Dede and Jordan are the future of Ghana soccer and we will not sit down for AA and Nyantekyi to mess it up. Ghana is not for them. It is Ghana football association and not Nyantekyi FA or Akwesi Appiah Stars. All those overaged player will not stand the test of time. Where are the guys who played the under 20 with Dede? Adiyiah, osei,Nkoom, Awako, Opoku Agyemang, Addo, Opare etc? You see that old age has caught up with them. Clottey is already overaged. A tournament needs endurance. Gyan is equally overaged no wonder he runs away from England where the physical requirements are high. Only the Ayews are spotting the right age and if they can be what they aren’t this age, then the sky is the limit. It is only in the uncivilized village that young ones are disrespected just like AA wants to do. In civilized societies, the views and rights of the youth are respected. AA IS INDEAD LOSING IT. Now that he and his Mafia have succeeded in Axing the Ayews, we have become convinced that he has the people he wants. He should deliver the trophy now

  17. Dr Who says:

Some of you are indeed dummies!Dede was just asked to report for our medical staff to check and ascertain his injury.but because he knows it was a fake injury due to jordan not invited,he decided not to show up but do so at his convenience.Have u people forgotten appiah has to submit his final team to caf on Wed? If Dede is indeed injured why will he join marseille in morocco? Like father, like son.some of you were kids and toddlers so you dont know how Abedi in his hey days was virtually dictating, influencing and interfering with player selection in the BS.When coach Milo did it against Sulley and DJUKOVIC did it against Osei Kuffour what did you say?Dede is behaving like that because of Jordan.in any case how many goals has jordan scored this season? Did we win the previous AFCONS Dede attended? Dede is a good player but the BS had seen great players in the past so he can go to hell!

    • abs says:

at last somethin worth reading. some sense. God bless u Dr Who

    • Robeen says:

Akwasi Appiah is not a smart coach. A smart coach focuses only on ONE THING – to win matches. No Results and You are gone. Even Balotelli has a coach and he is playing soccer.

    • Sammy says:

Did we win anything under Akwesi Appiah bbas a Captain? Or his days as an assistant coach? He cannot even beat Liberia. He should give us a break. We all saw how they were sorry for Yahaya Mohammed. In the case of Dede, he was quick to drop the axe. He has axed his own future job. Like father like son I agree. Since Abedi is the greatest player Ghana ever had, you should understand like father like son. The same way Akwesi Appiah was envious of the father so is he jealous of the children. Does Emmanuel Clottey deserve a place ahead of Jordan? How many goals has Gyan scored since joining the UEA league? fire upon those Ashanti fools : Nyantekyi, Konadu and Appiah. God will punish them for messing with country. Dede is already a world star at 23. Something AA could never become in his sorry soccer life. Tell us which family has given more to ghana soccer than the Ayews?is it the Appiah, the Nyantekyi or konadu family? Genius recognizes genius. So does misfit. I think you the Dr who should rather shut up.

    • nana says:

wow this made me change my mind well said

  18. tank God we are not zambians says:

@congoman hhahhaha man dnt be stupid cos even our second eleven wil beat u,da fact dat we talkin abt our team prbs dnt mean da bs is stupid.we play best wen we are under rated

  19. tiger says:

Stupid Ghanaians! Think twice before you speak! If AA leads black stars to lift the trophy what will you people say next? Stop all this kind of unnecessary insults here!
Ayew or whatever you call yourself you are a fool!!! Your fake injury will curse you!

  20. nana yaw says:

disgarce and sacking is waiting for kwasi appiah immediately after the nations cup

  21. ck says:

guy lets all stop this politics, mother Ghana will be the looser at the end of the day. IF WE WILL RECALL IN THE LAT EDITION @ GABON & EQUITORIA GUINEA ASAMOAH GYAN WASNT FIT BUT YET HE WAS INCLUDED IN THE FINAL 23 MAN SQUAD AS A MATTER WE HAD TO HIGH THE SERVICES OF ASPECIALIST FRO FROM SERBIA TO COME AND HELP HIM RECOVER BECAUSE WE RECON HE IS A VITAL PLAYER IN THE SQUAD SO WHAT MAKES DEDE DIFFERENT, THIS IS A GUY WHO GIVES HIS 100% PERCENT ANYTIME HE IS ON INTERNATIONAL ASSIGNMENT. HE HAS DELIVERED IN ALL MATCHES HE HAS PLAYED FOR MOTHER GHANA. SO WHY, I BELIEVE SOMTHING IS WRONG SOMEWHERE. GHANAIAN COACH CAN NOT MANAGE BLACK STAR

  22. Nii Kwatei says:

This is difficult situation which comprises several interesting elements. There are 3 components. First, is the injury real or ‘faked’

    - 1. Ayew’s commitment:
Suddenly people start questiong his commitment to the Black Stars. Helloo! He is THE most committed player the Black Stars has ever got! When he plays, he plays with burning desire and passion. He plays through the pain barrier, with a distorted ankle, a broken shoulder, you name it. This guy is ready to die for Ghana. So why would he want to fake an injury and subsequently miss the chance to go for gold in the AFCON ?

    2. Appiah’s conduct.
Some people are questioning Appiah’s treatment of Dede. Was it too harsh? Was he conspiring to push Dede out of the team? Why would AA do such a thing? He wouldn’t have any benefit in dropping Ghana’s best player.

    3. Conclusion:
We should agree that it is neither fault.
    Not Dede’s, nor Appiah’s:
—> But just REALLY BAD FUCKED UP COMMUNICATION BETWEEN GFA, APPIAH AND OLYMPIQUE MARSEILLE!

    • Robeen says:

Please tell us the truth. It is Appiah fault.
The player is injured, that is a special case that needs a lot of consideration and empathy. Are Ghanaian doctors better than French doctors? Dede promised to join the squad on Wednesday after proper treatment from his doctors, is it too much to ask?

  23. Ek says:

Shit ghananians, no wnda zambia won wit players who displined, kalaba waz wt team wen sa mandela cup wit hs groin injury. Dede u r jst a toddler learng 2 play football kwasi wel dne u need player who wil recognise u as coach. Shit those supportng dede.

  24. Sammy says:

A coach who is quick to drop his best player simply because he has to see a doctor before an important tournament is either confused or a fool.

  25. Jimmy says:

I support Akwasi Appiah 100% on this axing! This boy is too arrogant!

  26. Dr Who says:

And who said Dede is really injured? He only faked it in reaction to jordan snub. His initial commitment to the BS was to ride on the reputation of the national team to stardom.could he have won the BBC african player of the years award if he wasnt playing for the BS? He is growing wings and the earlier its checked the better.after taking the 10 jersey from K Asamoah,he doesnt want to be substituted in a game.next he created a stir on the captainship of the team.now he wants to tell AA that he cant have him without jordan. He should clear off!

  27. Jimmy says:

Dede is doing that because his brother was given the nod! The blackstar is not for Abedi and his family. Arrogant brat!

  28. Desmond says:

No body can question Ayew Commitment to the Blackstar….Sometimes I ask myself why is Blackstar not given to Sellas Tetteh, because he has proven himself in africa and World cup with players whom no one knew them.We want to Win AFCON yes …But we need to give the Team to local Coaches who have proven themselves in the eyes of Ghanaians

  29. bawah says:

TOO AROGANT BUT AN EXCELLENT PLAYER: ONE JUNIOR AFCON CUP AND ONE JUNIOR WORLD CUP THE SAME YEAR : A RECORD!NO MORE FRUSTRATIONS.APPIAH GIVE US APPIAH XI FOR TOURNEY!

  30. Prettytony says:

What better trainin is AAA organising, that Dede should be axed to for missing?…..

  31. WillB says:

Its over!!!! Ghana will not win the african cup of nations…look at who this coach didnt picked owusu abeyie, the ayews he thinks he could win it with derek boateng and some locals? No way Ghana can win this!

  32. Pinto says:

I mean we talk too much as Ghanaians!!…we r so emotional ppl we refuse to think sumtyms!..in 2010,have we fgtn we took a fit,nt soo xperiencd side n what was the outcome?..we gt to the FINAL!!…every year we go wf our biggest names dnt we perfrm even worse..If hes injured as a good coach u need to put ur feet on the ground n take a decision.if hes nt fit we wish him well bt hes nt Black Stars!the team is bigger thn any name…so I support kwesi…go wth the best n most fit set of players..Period!

  33. kingboat says:

Do ghanaians follow soccer at all or they just pass comments? Do you remember france 98, when the france coach dropped Eric Cantona? Pray for your team and stop cursing the BS. God bless the players to deliver for Ghana.

  34. selfmade says:

Bye ayew and u ll be surprised the team can do better without u because though i respected your decision,i think u replaceable and this ll open the window of opportunity for someone to shine…. adieus mr!!! Viva the revolutioncioooooooooooooo!!!!!!

  35. Dr. Zomito says:

All those guys with that kind of lousy sentiment against the coach here are all children. The coach wanted to win the africa cup how on earth will he put away his best players. Dede is very proud guy and the Ayews as a whole, they think that Ghana is for them alone, nkwaseasem!!!!!

  36. Masyer says:

jimmy, henry,dr whatever and da others i think u guys r sick and out of ur mind ,da ayews have done so much for Gh esp dede.dey shud b commended,so u guys shud stop da foolish and senseless talk and give us brake……..morons

  37. Dr Who says:

@sammy,you have clearly shown that you are an idiot or possibly you lick Dede‘s ass for foreign exchange. How can we win the tournament with half fit players? If Dede is indeed unfit,do you want AA to send him to AFCON? The players zambia paraded to win the 2012 cup are not better than what we have currently in camp.if you care to know,Rabiu Mohammed, jonathan mensah & Badu were part of the cup winning under 20 team.just ask yourself this question: will olympique maseille sign Jordan if he were to be playing another team? He is just there because of his fathers influence in Maseille as a former player.Do you know what Clottey would have done if he had been in jordan‘s shoes? He would have been the leading goal scorer in the french league.you think Dede would have reached where he is if he were not to be playing for Ghana?playing for only maseille would never have raised his profile.he can go to hell with his arrogance, afterall we didnt win the cup in previous afcon editions he had played.

    • Sammy says:

Dr who!! Your words show the internal problems you are facing as a result of your want of basic achievements. To say marseille signed Jordan because of Abedi shows how you have failed to achieve anything because of the inadequacy of those you followed. Tell me loic remi, mandanda, Kabore, and nkolou’s fathers, Hahahhahah ah. Don’t be angry with the boys. No one signs players in Europe because of their parents. Abedi is not the only former player marseille has. Abedi’s goals were never credited to his kids. That statement exposes your ignorance. Dede is an achiever and the earlier unhappy people like you accept it the better. Clottey made several unsuccessful attempts oversees. Yahaya mohammed and even Gyan were not successful in Europe. How many goals could Clottey score in Tunisia?. Most of those guys are even beyond 30. I don’t see the comparison with Zambia here. At least their coach is a real coach unlike ours. You know what? Get yourself the means of watching the French league and I bet you will not make these stupid statements.

  38. collins,china says:

No team can stand without discipline,it wasn’t an easy decision for the coach but he needed to send a strong message to the other players that there are no sacred cows and each player must work for his place.Support your coach. But as a Zambian am happy with anything that makes your team weaker. We all know how menacing the Ayew brothers can be on a good day.

  39. Chinaman in ghana says:

I Support AA 100% this guy is becoming too arrogant, just bcos when he does stupility he just got some fucken people to be behind him, you can’t join the black star team on monday but you can join your club on the same monday in Morocco, what stupid is this? and yet you still got majority to support your opinion. when a coach substitute you then you become mad, who do you think you are? fuck you!OK? fuck You! I like if Gha didn’t bring the cup than you playing when Gha lift the cup Fucken guy

  40. 2yung says:

Bravo Akwasi!no one is above mother Ghana.let him learn a lesson.what he did was a childish behaviour .Ghana will shine above all

  41. junior mafia says:

@big mouth u r retarded, dede is not our best playr, odewinge is nigerias best player n yet he was axed wen he is fully fit..dnt talk rubbish.dede is not bigger dan blkstr if he says he is injured let him relax n heal..blackstar is not a family team istead of telln ur brothr to work harder u fake ur injury to join him.

  42. quophai says:

In as much as one might dislike the Ayews for whatever reason, what the coach has done is wrong and must be condemned. There have countless occasions when players have been given time outs to recuperate before joining the black stars. even in instances when new contracts are being discussed, some players can be excused for a couple of days to finalize details. I cant understand the rush in axing Dede Ayew from the team. This guy has sacrifised alot for Ghana. Even in times when all seemed lost, he encouraged our players and even played through the pain barrier. I am an advocate for local coaches also but i think Akwasi Appiah is just about to dent his own image and that of other Ghanaian coaches. He has tactically not performed well, we have lost against Liberia and struggled against China and Cape Verde. His tactics and approach have not been effective. He will fail to take us to the world cup and even get us pass the group stage. We have all too soon forgotten the state of our Black Stars before the advent of the Serbians. We should be wise.

  43. Alfred says:

Guys with short memory don’t forget the shilla iliasu issue
We need to support the team not an individual

  44. obbie says:

This Ghana team should not even come closer to my Chipolopolo team. It is too weak to face Chipolopolo without their best performer. I am a Zambia but Andre Ayew is a true performer, for his work rate is too high. Kalaba is fit for you Ghana, just wait. The moment we see a Black star, we shoot it down with only one bullet.

    • Jimmy says:

Fuck off with your monkey players we careless

      • obbie says:

Which Zambian players look like a monkey Jimmy? I am feeling sad to tell you this but i will tell you. Most Ghanian players a ugly and look more monkish than Zambian players. Look at the faces for Prince Tagoe, Asamoa kwado, John Boye, John Mensa, Adiya. If those faces are nice to you, then there is no monkey players in the Zambian team. Those who are handsome (Ayew brothers) have been dropped from the Ghana team. As sorry to write bad on innocent Ghanaian players but Ghanaian soccer fans need to learn how not to pass silly comments. Jimmy, i would be happy to see you so that i see your handsome face and i hope it is not close to monkeys.

  45. tiger says:

People who making negative comments against the coach know nothing about football. Is Ayew greater than black stars? Hmmm! His fake injury will curse him! Who does he think his brother Jordan best than?

  46. Dr Who says:

@Sammy,THE MORE YOU TYPE, THE MORE YOU EXPOSE YOUR ILLITERACY AND IQ LEVEL,YOU REGARD RENARD AS A GOOD COACH NOW.FINE,WHAT WAS HIS ACHIEVEMENT BEFORE THE AFCON 2012? PLACE THE ZAMBIAN TEAM & COMPARE PLAYER 4 PLAYER & YOU WILL OBSERVE THE SUPERIOR DEPTH OF QUALITY WE HAVE IN OUR CURRENT SQUAD.YET,ZAMBIA WON THE 2012 CUP.OUR SQUAD WITHOUT DEDE IS ALSO CAPABLE OF WINNING THE CUP.NO COMPETATIVE & SERIOUS MINDED TEAM IN EUROPE WILL SPEND MONEY TO PURCHASE STRIKER JORDAN.IF HE IS THAT GOOD,TELL ME THE LAST TIME U HEARD EVEN RUMOUR OF ANY TEAM EXPRESSING INTEREST IN HIM? HE HAS SCORED 4 GOALS SO FAR THIS SEASON.IS HE THE STRIKER YOU WANT TO LEAD OUR ATTACK? DID YOU EVEN WATCH THE GH-MALAWI MATCH IN ACCRA? STOP BEHAVING LIKE A DUMMY….TOY…TSOBI…AND LOOK SHARP.

  47. junior mafia says:

@obbie was kalaba not playin wen angola fuckd ur rubber bullets up?..we c da fake in the zambian team and in SA wen u exit da group stage u wil knw ur coach lackd ideas u jus had luck in gabon

  48. henry says:
