Marseille winger Andre Ayew will return to the pitch in early February, club president Vincent Labrune has confirmed.
The 23-year-old is currently in his native country where he is recuperating after undergoing a surgery.
Ayew suffered the setback while playing for the Black Stars in a 2014 World Cup play-off second leg tie against Egypt back in November 2013.
Marseille president Vincent Labrune expects the Ghanaian international to return to the pitch early next month.
“He will be ready for competition in early February if everything goes according to plan and is currently recuperating in Accra.” Labrune said
Marseille have struggled without their influential winger and have slipped to 6th on the table, 15 points adrift of leaders Paris St-Germain in the French Lique 1.
