Andre Ayew says Marseille will win the French title
Andre Ayew believes Olympique Marseille are well positioned to reclaim the French League title after a strangely disappointing season last term.
The 22-year-old and his Marseille teammates endured a woeful run in Ligue 1 last season which saw Les Phocéens finish a staggering 10th.
Under new coach Elie Baup, Marseille have startedthe new season in terrific fashion – maintaining a 100% winning record so far and are currently on top of the table.
Ayew, who missed the tail end of last season through injury, is thrilled by the early form of the side says the team is determined to perform this season.
“I was injured for a while so I had to do extra training in the beginning to get back to my shape and bit by bit it is coming back,” Ayew told MTNFootball.com
“I have been going well with the coach, I have been playing all the games, everyone is happy so hopefully we are going to continue.
“We’ve played four league games, we’ve won the four so we are on top. Hopefully we are going to continue.”
