Andre Ayew tips Atsu for greatness

Posted On Monday, 10th September 2012

Christian Atsu's incredible performance against Malawi continues to attract major talking points

By Patrick Akoto

Ghana midfielder Andre Ayew has hailed the qualities of sensational winger Christian Atsu.

The 20-year-old has earned rave reviews after his man-of-the match performance during Saturday’s African Cup of Nations qualifier against Malawi.

The Porto playmaker dubbed as the new ‘Lione Messi’ terrorized the defensive network of The Flames with some sweeping skills that got him many admirers.

The Marseille winger who was a pale shadow of himself lauded the quality of the exciting winger and tipped him for greatness.

“I want to congratulate all my teammates for a hard-fought victory and hopefully we’ll go to Malawi and ensure qualification,” Ayew said

“Atsu played well and has a great future ahead of him if he continues to play like that,”

“I was happy for him because he knows how to take on defenders and everyone should watch out for him.”

I think he should just retain the 7 jersey, perfect fit…

  2. Lee says:

I believe all the Dede haters are hiding right now. Dede is a matured player that loves Ghana too much. He neither hates nor jealous anybody, all he want is for Ghana to win titles. Shame on you all Ayew family haters.
He is going to captain a stronger Black Stars in future.
Thank you Dede for those inspiring comments, God bless you and family.

@ lee…. i don’t believed dede has haters but contractly this haters has Made dee who he is today!! I quiet remember people criticised him alot using afcon 2008 an how he holding unto the ball for toolong etc an u could clearly see change in him now… he is all about business and no unnecessary showboating now!!! This is what positive criticism can do for u esp when u take it in good faith!! I think is now time for jordan to go thru the same phase an i know he ll also become a better player in future. That boy gotta it too but but he is alittle inmature footballwise and criticism is going to shape him up too

    • Lee says:

There are numerous personal attacks on his person and entire Ayew family. Objective criticism is what every player needs to progress but not defamation of his character all because of his father Abedi Pele.

I think he should play at the right ring and be cutting through, he does well playing there
