Andre Ayew has predicted a semi-final berth for Ghana at the 2014 World Cup in Brazil.

The Black Stars have been drawn in a difficult group which includes old foes USA and Germany as well as Portugal.

The Africans will be hoping to go a step further in the South American country after reaching the last eight in South Africa four years ago.

Ayew, who plays for French side Marseille, believes the Black Stars have enough firepower and depth in-quality to reach the semis.

“I want the Ghanaian team to become the first African team to advance to the semi-finals of the World Cup in Brazil,”the 23-year-old is quoted Ad-hoc.de.

“In South Africa, we were unlucky in the last eight but this Black Stars is a new one and we are targeting the last four.”
