Andre Ayew to start for Marseille against Sochaux

Andre Ayew has been named in Olympique Marseille’s starting lineup to face Sochaux on Sunday night.

The Ghana midfielder has recovered from a hamstring injury to play a part in Marseille’s away game from the onset.

The 23-year-old was left out of the Ghana squad for the 2013 Africa Cup of Nations after failing to report to the team’s Abu Dhabi camp at the prescribed time.

The midfielder who was originally ruled out for five days has since been working with Marseille’s physios and medical experts during the team’s training camp in Morocco.

He is now deemed fully fit to start the must-win game at Sochaux.

Les Phoceens need the win to keep in touch with the leading teams in the French Ligue 1 where Marsielle are level on points with PSG and Olympique Lyon.

He is mad because his kid brother was dropped. This disrespectful attitude should not be tolerated. He definitely should not be spared the rod and its about time we let these players know that Ghana has made them who they are and andre in particular became who he is after they won the u20 tournament.Am very disappointed in him and am waiting to see what the GFA will do about this issue.

    Brings division to camp.
    Remember where u started from.
One of the reason why Gh. will do so well this time is bcos da players are united.
I expect AA to take GH to da finals of AFCON n win da cup.

  11. Danny says:

I was amazed to hear the likes of Opare Addo and co saying AA should have exercise patience. Patience for what? The players who are ready to die for mother Ghana are those who reported for camp. he and his pals downplayed the win over Egypt, what about Tunisia? Is Tunisia also not a good side or they paraded a second string side against Ghana? Please let us uphold discipline and hardwork at all times and stop making ordinary mortals look more important than others. God bless Ghana and the Black Stars.

  12. texas says:

Well good luck to Andre and his club.
