Andre Ayew misses out on the French Player of the Month Award

Ghana winger Andre Ayew placed second to Eden Hazard in the French League One player of the Month Award for March.

The 21-year-old was hoping to sweep the trophy away in his first attempt but 35 percent of the votes.

He finished below Lille dangerman Eden Hazard who managed a landslide victory with 62 percent of the total votes.

France international Rio Mavuba gained only 3 percent of the vote cast.
