Ghana midfielder Andre Ayew is set for a quicker return to action after resuming light training.
The 24-year-old was scheduled to spend eight weeks on the sidelines after undergoing surgery to correct a knee injury in November.
Ayew suffered the problem when he was playing for the Black Stars in a 2014 World Cup return leg playoff against Egypt in Cairo.
Although he is making progress, the winger was left out Jose Anigo’s squad to face Girondins Bordeaux.
