Andre Ayew makes injury return for Marseille

Andre Ayew returns to light training with Marseille

Andre Ayew has returned to light training with Olympique Marseille alongside teammate Jeremy Morel.

The Ghana international has been battling a foot injury which kept him out of the last Ligue 1 game at Evian.

The injury has halted the 23-year-old’s explosive start to the second half of the season.

Ayew did a light job with physical trainer Frédéric Faure during Tuesday’s training session witnessed by a small group of supporters.

The midfielder has played in all but two of the Marseille’s games in the second round since recovering from a mild hamstring injury.

His return will be a big boost for Les Phoceens who are looking to bounce back winning ways against Valenciennes on Saturday.
