Ghana midfielder Andre Ayew believes the Black Stars will blow away Egypt in the crucial 2014 World Cup qualifier if all the players play at their optimum best.
Ghana will host the record African Cup winners in the first leg of the playoff tie in October 15 in Kumasi.
The Black Stars look to record a resounding win in the first leg match to position itself strongly to qualify for next year’s World Cup ahead of the return encounter in a month’s time.
But Ghana midfielder Andre Ayew believes the Black Stars will have no problem beating Egypt well in the October 15 clash if all the players called up for the game give off their best.
“It is going to be a difficult game, we all know what the Egyptians are capable of doing,” the Olympique Marseille forward said upon arrival to join the Black Stars camp on Monday night.
“But we are at home in front of our fans and I believe we will not disappoint.
“We are the favourites against Egypt and if all of us play at our best I don’t think we will have a problem.”
The Black Stars will begin intense preparations towards next week’s game with Egypt on Tuesday with an opening training session at the Accra Sports Stadium.
