Ghana goalkeeper Fatau Dauda says Andre Ayew’s injury is a big blow to the team ahead of their final 2015 Africa Cup of Nations qualifier against Togo.

Ayew, 24, joins Kwadwo Asamoah and captain Asamoah Gyan who have been ruled out.

Dauda says losing another kingpin of the side is a blow but has vowed the team will secure qualification to please all injured.

“It’s a big blow no two ways about that. Ayew is a fighter and a key player to us,” Dauda told GHANASoccernet.com

“His presence alone on the field inspires the team and to have lost him at this critical time is nothing short of disappointment.

“But we have equally good players that will take on the fight from where he left on and ensure qualification.”

Ghana will need to avoid a defeat at home to Togo to secure qualification to next year’s finals to be held in Equatorial Guinea.
