Andre Ayew is confident Marseille will reclaim the French Lique 1 title from mega spenders Paris Saint- Germain after they got their campaign off to a flier.
Marseille have struggled to attract many big stars to their fold this term with Monaco and PSG splashing the cash to bring in top stars.
Having gained promotion from Ligue 2 AS Monaco, have wasted no time, signing some of the biggest stars in world football thanks to Russian billionaire Dmitry Rybolovlev.
At the start of the summer Monaco captured the signature of Porto duo Joao Moutinho and James Rodriguez for £70m then captured the biggest transfer of the summer in Athletico Madrid’s goal machine Radamel Falcao for £51m.
They have also managed to capture Ricardo Carvalho, Jeremy Toulalan and Eric Abidal.
Monaco are not the only big spending as current Ligue 1 Champions PSG have strengthened their squad with Edinson Cavani their highest signing.
But the 23-year-old Ghanaian international remains confident about their chances and insists Marseille will come out tops.
“The games we are playing are just for preparation and it is only now that we will work on sharpening explosiveness,” Ayew aid
“It is true that it is a bit difficult, we have heavy legs, but is now much better.
“People should keep this and not panic, I am confident and I know we are going to take the championship.”
Marseille started their campaign with a 3-1 win against Guingamp last weekend with Andre playing an influential role in the victory.
