Amidaus president Alhaji Baba Gedo has denied claims he interfered in the work of dismissed coach Tanko Shaibu.

Shaibu was shown the exit following their 3-0 defeat at Hearts of Oak last Sunday.

However the former Medeama trainer accused his boss of interfering in his job and team selection.

But club president Alhaji Baba Gedo has dismissed such claims, insisting he was relieved off the post for footballing reasons.

“It’s never true that I interfered in his work. I can only suggest a player to him. That’s how far I can go,” he said

“There are certain players you will see clearly are better than others. You didn’t need to be a rocket scientist to know the difference.

“And so if I suggest a player to you, you don’t turn around to say I am forcing someone on you.

“At the moment he has been asked to step aside. I don’t know how long he will stay off the club but it will be for a while.”

Amidaus have been far from convincing this term where they have picked up only four points from their last four outings.
