Amidaus Professionals celebrating in the Ghana Premier League

Bottom-placed Real Tamale United continued their losing streak with a 3-1 reverse to Amidaus Professionals at the Baba Yara Stadium in Kumasi on Saturday.

Aminu Mohammed narrowed the deficit for a toothless RTU side in the 78th minute after former Hearts of Oak midfielder Isaac Ofori and leading scorer Yahaya Mohammed had scored in either halves to give Anthony Lokko’s men a 2-0.

Selasie Adjei then put the game beyond the reach of the Pride of the North ten minutes from time.

Mohammed could have further thrown the game into a contest but he failed to convert his penalty.

RTU-who sold forward Abdul Aziz Yusif to join title-holders Asante Kotoko seemed to suffer dearly for it as their attack looked blunt.

Also, livewire Emmanuel Kwamina failed to convert any of the chances that came his way.Amidaus were clear winners in the opening half hour as they dominated play from in both halves.

Their dominance turned into a goal into a goal in the 27th minute when Ofori, who joined in mid-season, turned home a fabulous strike.

Amidaus pressed and captain Mohammed’s quest to increase his season tally materialised as he hit the back of the net in the 74th minute.

The Tema-based side appeared cruising but a short period of RTU dominance produced a consolation as Mohammed scored with a first-time finish.

Adjei however ended any Amidaus comeback hopes when he volleyed home from close range.
