America cap Ghanaian winger Joe Gyau in friendly win over Czech Republic

The United States of America handed a full senior debut to Ghanaian-America Joseph-Claude Gyau in their narrow 1-0 triumph international friendly triumph over European side Czech Republic on Wednesday. 

USA manager Jurgen Klinsmann named the Borussia Dortmund attacker in his starting line-up, allowing him to complete the entire duration of the game at the Generali Praha though he made wholesome changing during the break.

Despite playing in the game, the 21-year-old is not totally debarred from playing for Ghana if he decides to go for a national switch as FIFA rules allow him to switch.

Alejandro Bedoya scored in the first-half as a youthful United States team started the four-year cycle of preparation for the 2018 World Cup with a 1-0 win.

Gyau was among three debutants in the game but was the only one who completed the entire duration of the game.

Forward Jozy Altidore made his first U.S. appearance since injuring a hamstring as the Americans opened the World Cup with a 2-1 win over Ghana.

Gyau, a grandson of Ghana legend Nana Agyeman Gyau, suggested he could play for the West African giants when he questioned an American fan on Twitter over a comment about his international future.
