All Stars chief backs under fire coach Nuru

All Stars Chief Executive Oduro Nyarko insists coach Nuru Ahmed’s job is safe despite muted agitation for his dismissal.

The Wa-based side is just a place above the relegation zone on goal difference haven won just three games in the fourteen games played so far.

The team has struggled to score goals – culminating into their five draws and six defeats.

This has seen some sections of the media and public call for the sacking of coach Nuru.

But the club’s chief has passed the dreaded vote of confidence and says the team had been collectively poor rather than blame it solely on the coach.

“Those are opinions and people are entitled to their’s, you can’t begrudge them,” Oduro Nyarko said.

“However I believe if the team collectively is not good, it makes it very difficult for the coach to excel.

“We are going to revamp the team for the second round and see how far we can go.”
