Alhassan Wakaso suffered an injury while in action for Rio Ave in Portugal

Ghanaian midfielder Alhassan Wakaso was forced off the pitch while in action for Rio Ave who shared the spoils with Vitória Guimarães in the Portuguese top-flight on Saturday. 

The 23-year-old limped off the pitch in the 38th minute after picking an injury at the Estádio do Rio Ave Futebol Clube.

Rio Ave will conduct scans to discover the extent of the damage done to the midfielder who is a junior brother of Black Stars and Celtic winger Wakaso Mubarak.

Wakaso has started 22 games for Rio Ave in the Portuguese top-flight this season.
