Defender Massawudu Alhassan believes he is on his way to regaining his position in the Ghana national team.
The 19-year-old has lost his position with the Black Stars following a recent stretch of club inactivity.
The left-back is now playing regularly with his Italian Serie-B side Novara and says it is just a matter of time for him to regain his spot in the Black Stars.
"Akwasi Appiah (Ghana coach) told me if I play regularly I will have a chance in his team," he told Accra-based Radio XYZ.
"And now I am playing so I will come back to take my position."
Alhassan is on loan from Genoa and has played six games for Novara and has scored one goal from his left-back position.
He was part of the Ghana squad that came fourth at the 2012 Africa Cup of Nations in Gabon and Equatorial Guinea.
