Alhassan confident on regaining lost Black Stars spot

Alhassan confident of making quick Ghana return

By Ameenu Shardow

Defender Massawudu Alhassan believes he is on his way to regaining his position in the Ghana national team.

The 19-year-old has lost his position with the Black Stars following a recent stretch of club inactivity.

The left-back is now playing regularly with his Italian Serie-B side Novara and says it is just a matter of time for him to regain his spot in the Black Stars.

“Akwasi Appiah (Ghana coach) told me if I play regularly I will have a chance in his team,” he told Accra-based Radio XYZ.

“And now I am playing so I will come back to take my position.”

Alhassan is on loan from Genoa and has played six games for Novara and has scored one goal from his left-back position.

He was part of the Ghana squad that came fourth at the 2012 Africa Cup of Nations in Gabon and Equatorial Guinea.

that is good idea but, Masawudu you need to work hard and come and gain your position, and again you are playing in seria’B’ side and now we are looking for team to work serious to play for up coming world cup, there are best players in that contents so if we could do better in that event Ghana must to pick up grade players that they are available in their team first play,we all know that world cup event is most valuable in all football compotation,so your recalled back to black stars is upon your ability to stand herd and come back to top division side, though you are number chose of your team but you need to work strong and with that Ghana can allow you play.
