Alhaji Hearts lashes at current board for failing to sign Ahmed Toure
Ahmed Toure has re-joined Asante Kotoko

Ex Hearts of Oak board member Alhaji Sulemana Brimah [Alhaji Hearts] has blamed the current administration for the club’s failure to sign striker Ahmed Toure.

The Ivorian hitman after playing and scoring for the Phobians in the GHALCA Top 4 match against AshantiGold made a shocking U-turn to sign a three-year contract with his former club Asante Kotoko.

Toure was in advanced talks to join Hearts before their rivals pulled off an astonishing coup to secure the return of the ex Lokeren player.

Reports suggests that Hearts officials failed to meet the demands of Toure of a lump sum amount and a car during negotiations.

The 27-year-old emerged in Kumasi days later after a brief return his native Ivory Coast.

Hearts’ ex board member Sulemana Brimah believes the club’s current administration must be blamed for failing to land Toure who he believed would have been an instant hit with the side.

“I blame the current administration for failing to sign Ahmed Toure,” Alhaji Hearts told Asempa FM.

“This is a player who came on his own accord to play for Hearts and we all saw the difference he made when he came on in the Top 4 match against AshantiGold.

“This is a crowd puller and we failed to seal a deal with him.

“He later tells officials he was going back home to gather his belongings and return to Hearts but then a competitor comes in and gets ahead of us.

“You can never blame Kotoko, I blame the current administration at Hearts.”

Toure signed a three-year deal at Kotoko worth a cumulative GHS 80,000.
