Algerian referee to handle Al Ahly-Berekum Chelsea Champions League match

Djamel Haimoudi will officiate Berekum Chelsea's Champions League match against Al Ahly

Algerian referee Djamel Haimoudi will be the centre-man for  Berekum Chelsea’s CAF Champions League Group match at Al Ahly on Saturday.

Haimoudi will be assisted on the lines by compatriots Etchiali Abdelhak and Bitam Mahmoud Mounir.

The fourth official will be Bousseter Sofiane.

Haimoudi has been officiating in the CAF Champions League for the past six seasons.

He is among seven Africans referees on the list of 52 being considered by FIFA for the 2014 World Cup.

    It sounds like a plan thing but believe me guys, this could be an opportunity for our guys since ALGERIA and EGYPT are not in good terms when it comes to football.

    Do not accuse the referees before the game. What is wrong with you Ghanaians concerning referees.
    Just play the game, it’s like you have lost out already and are crying out that it is the referee. You did the same against Zambia and ended up trying to beat up the referees.
    Those Algerians won’t be bribed at all. Clottey is fit enough to do the job for you without interfering with referees.
