Albert Bruce’s Sunderland move off

Albert Bruce’s proposed move to Sunderland is off following delay in acquiring his visa, GHANAsoccernet.com can exclusively reveal.

The 19-year-old was handed a two-week trial by the Black Cats in January after ending a one-year-loan spell  with Polish giants Legia Warsaw.

But delays in acquiring his travelling visa on scheduled  has stalled the move.

“The deal to Sunderland is not happening because I did not get my visa on time,” Bruce told GHANAsoccernet.com

“I was expected to have joined them in January but the delay means I will have to properlly wait a little longer.

“It doesn’t seem like it will happen because the transfer window has been closed.

Bruce was loaned out to Legia Warsaw last year by the Ghanaian champions but the youngster struggled to command a starting place under new manager Jan Urban which resulting in his decision to look for opportunities elsewhere.

GHANAsoccernet.com can reveal that a number of clubs in Europe have expressed interest in his signature.
