Ex-Chelsea star Miroslav Stoch has arrived at Al Ain after completing a season-long loan move from Turkish giants Fenerbahce and has labelled Ghana captain Asamoah Gyan as an 'excellent' finisher.

The Slovak, 24, scored on his debut game for the Garden City club who have began the second phase of their pre-season preparation with a thumping win in the Al Ain International Friendly Football Championship at the Khalifa bin Zayed Stadium in Al Ain.

And, he was quick to praise the qualities of club legend Asamoah Gyan who has scored over 100 goals since arriving at the club in 2011.

“I know Asamoah Gyan and he is an excellent striker. I will do my best to know the others and cooperate with them,” Stoch told The National.

“I have great aspirations for the coming days as I know well the challenges waiting for Al Ain and I will be so excited to help the team win more trophies and cups.”

After a glistening show for Ghana at the World Cup, Gyan was expected to return to Europe but he has inked a new two-year deal to keep him at the club until 2018.
