Ghana coach Kwasi Appiah has dissappointed me - Abedi Pele

Andre and Jordan Ayew called time on their international career last month following their exclusion from the Black Stars squad for the tournament in South Africa.
Jordan was excluded from Ghana’s squad when it was named while Andre failed to report in time for the team’s camping in Abu Dhabi which resulted in his exclusion.
The Marseille duo’s iconic father, Abedi Pele in a new twist, without giving details, now says coach Akwasi Appiah has been a disappointment.
“I am friends with everyone including Akwasi Appiah,” he said.
“But if you have a friend who has disappointed you, what do you do? You stay behind your kids.”
Opinions have been sharply divided since news broke of the temporal retirement of the Ayews.
The Ghana FA has since made overtures to have the Marseille duo rescind their decision in order to feature for the Black Stars.
Despite the Ayew brothers ruling themselves out of an immediate return, the GFA insists their response have been favourable.
Andre and Jordan Ayew have ruled themselves out of Ghana’s crucial 2014 World Cup qualifier against Sudan with their return still not known.
While Andre says he needs more time to recover from an ‘emotional and psychological’ setback following some problems with the Black Stars management, Jordan assured he will certainly return soon but will not be available for the March 24 game in Kumasi.

Abedi, speak as a professional, in what way has AA disappointed u? is it cos ur Dede feigned injury n he was dropped? why didnt u advice him rather, knowing that it could escalate into this? with Abedi’s experience in football, he shouldnt do what he is doing. does he think everybody will like him if becomes the coach of the team?

Everybody is right so let’s just leave sleeping dogs lying. I think it is just fine the way it is. Dede has a right to resign because he is good but wasn’t called for AFCON. Kwasi Appiah was right for not calling him because he thinks we have other players to fit in his position if he is being disrespectful (for deciding not to show up in camp when he was told to). Jordan thinks he should have been called at that time because he was voted best player at Marseille. Kwasi Appiah thought he was the coach and had better strikers than Jordan. Abedi thinks he is their father and have to support his kids no matter what. All these people make sense but if we the fans put 2 and 2 together we realize all these doesn’t make any sense because the nation should come first. All these people are wrong and unpatriotic including kwasi Appiah. To hell with all of them. Division has started creeping into the team at a time we have crucial qualifying matches to play. Let’s drop Appiah and leave the Ayew family also out of the team if they so wish and move forward as a nation. Ghana is bigger than all these people. Nkwaseas3m like that, mtweewwwww……
Good remarks my brother. It is however the duty of the management to settle such disputes. In our case, they are creating the confusion. We better get rid of all the feuding parties before they ruin our team. Personally, I think the management committee should remember that football is played on the field and no where else. Conflict resolution should be given priority in any human institution. The human resources that bring the glory should be motivated to produce results where it matters most. My fear is that if we don’t change our management style, all our world class player will leave one after the other and we will be stuck with mediocre player. We can use a Ghanaian coach but we need to hire world class managers to manage the team.

Abedi Pele pls tell your sons to stop scheming against other players. If you are a good father tell Dede to stop seeking for the Black Stars captaincy. He schemed for the No.10. And Kwadwo asamaoah could not sleep so he gave it up. Now he wants to be the black stars captain. Tell them to stop.

Abedi Pele should have said this when AA started Jordan in Kumasi against Sudan in AFCON 2012 qualifier.Jordan flopped just like he flopped miserably against Malawi in Accra.This is AA benefit from the maestro after hijacking his captains armband in 1992.

@Dr. Who: I don’t think you the facts of which the captain’s band was given to PELE. Abedi has nothing to do with it. If you want to accuse somebody about the captain’s band, look for Sir. C K GYAMFI. He was the the technical director of Ghana socer at that time, he also ordered the band be given to PELE. PELE was already in France at that time and we were about to go to Senegal for AFCON 92. And so get your facts straight before coming out here to criticize somebody. Especially someone like PELE. Some Ghanaians are very ungrateful to our heroes and that is why we are not going to win anything until that has stopped.
