C K Akunnor has been linked with a move to King Faisal

Former Hearts of Oak coach C K Akunnor has been linked with a move to Ghanaian Premier League side King Faisal whose head coach Mallam Yahaya has resigned.

The 38-year-old former Ghana captain has been jobless since parting ways with giants Hearts of Oak in November.

King Faisal are searching for a new head coach after Mallam Yahaya resigned from his position on Tuesday.

Bankroller Alhaji Grusah has identified Akunnor as the suitable trainer to fill the void created by Mallam Yahaya.

However Akunnor will carefully weigh the choice of joining the newly promoted side after coaches Stephen Abugri and Mallam Yahaya have both bad-mouthed the club over unhealthy working relationship.
