AIK Stockholm have signed Nigerian midfielder Dickson Etuhu as a replacement for the departing Moro Ibrahim.

The Swedish club have sold the Ghanaian youngster to Kazakhstani club FC Kairat for an undisclosed fee.

Moro’s contract with Kairat will formally start on January 1 when the secondary transfer window opens.

AIK have decided to splash some of the cash received from the sale of the former New Edubiase player to get his replacement in the former Fulham man.

AIK didn’t pay any transfer fee for Etuhu who joins as a free agent.

His signing-on fee and other bonuses were however funded from the proceeds from the sale of Ibrahim Moro to Kairat.

AIK hope the arrival of the experienced Nigerian will help guide their predominantly young side to success next season.
