Ahinful raves about Gyan's Ghana return
Ex-Ghana striker Augustine Ahinful has lauded Asamoah Gyan for rescinding his retirement decision from the Ghana national team.
The UAE-based striker confirmed his return to international football in a letter sent to the Ghana Football Association on Wednesday.
Gyan took an indefinite break from the Black Stars after the 2012 Africa Cup of Nations in February.
The Al Ain ace will be available for Ghana’s next assignment against Malawi in a 2013 Nations Cup final qualifier.
Ahinful, a former Trabzonspor striker, believes Kwesi Appiah’s side will be boost by Gyan’s return.
”I think Gyan’s return is great to all Ghanaians because his absence for some time in the team was felt,” Ahinful told Joy Sports.
”We need him because he is our top striker and his experience will help the Black Stars in their subsequent matches.”
Old man running to eat arab money
That’s Ghana for you….everyone talking about experience, experience!!!! U want a job, experience!!! you want to be an MP, they say experience!!!….we value ‘old age’ too much…its the youth that are the future, and if the old dont give way, our youth will be old without experience…we cant rely on Gyan, who openly says if he doesnt play well, Black Stars wont play well!!…Utter nonsense..we need to encourage the Clottey’s and the Ayews to put pressure on teh strikers..next thing we know, John Paintsil and John Mensah and Laryea Kinston and Oleyley will be back…backward never oooooh Ghana!!!!!
We’ve to stick to the young horses instead of 40 year old whatever the outcome of matches ahead!!!!
If u think Gyan is cheating on his age what aboat the so called young players are they not cheating on thier age?
