Agyemang-Badu in the Udinese starting line up against Portosummaga
By Ameenu Shardow
Emmanuel Agyemang-Badu was in action for Udinese in their 4-0 thrashing of Portosummaga in a pre-season friendly on Wednesday.
A brace by Luis Muriel and two more from Paulo Vitor Barreto and Maicosuel proved too much for the third tier club before 1500 spectators at Villa Santina.
Agyemang-Badu who was used in a more advanced role by coach Francesco Guidolin lasted 65 minutes.
The Ghana international is expected to be handed more responsibilities in the team following the departure of Kwadwo Asamoah and Mauricio Isla to Juventus.
Wednesday’s win over Portosummaga is the third successive pre-season victory for the Zebras as they prepare for an expected fierce contest this term.
Udinese next plays Atalanta in another warm up game on Saturday.
Badu,keep the fire burning
Well done!!! Believe in yourself that you can do BETTER without Kwadwo Asamoah. Keep it up
is expected to be given more responsility, are you the coach and this means ude made no signing which ii hurt the club, making money after selling and not spending on any major player means ude ve to rethink. I like Badu as a player but the article writer piss me off.
@kwame, it seems u don’t understand the word “expected”… And what makes u think he is not going to get a firat team play this season???
I dont understand the word expected since you didnt teach me well before you kicked the bucket……dont be an A hole,..read my comment well and you will know where am coming from, by the way u are entitled to ur opinion and stick to dat.
If Asa Gy , humbled himself and declined da Al Ain ! contract , who knows he cud b playin Champions League 4 da 1st time in his life @ Udi
Life is full of uncertainties. What you are saying saying is a possibility but not a certainty…Was it certain that he would shine at his old club to warrant an offer from another club to play in the champions league? Was it certain that he would even be playing football now and not died(God forbid) or even broken his leg(Tofiakwa) in the past season to render his career over? Your statement is an ‘if’ statement and decisions such as this are not based on uncertain outcomes or if scenarios when one does not have control over life…He made the best out of what came his way at the time.We all may have wished that he stayed in the EPL and made the name, but if he were my brother,i would have advised him the same way his family did..Life can be short for some people,so make the best out of today and don’t wait for tomorrow…tomorrow may be a dream, but today is the reality.Leave the chap alone.Making over 140,000 pounds a week in UAE is worth more than making a great name in the EPL and earning less than 20,000 pounds after taxes..He is enjoying his life, just allow him to be.Life is about choices, make yours and leave him to make his,he won’t account of his decision to you, only to his maker…
