Ghana midfielder Emmanuel Agyemang-Badu was in action for Udinese who posted a 3-2 win over an under-performing Liverpool side at Anfield in the Europa League on Thursday.
The 21-year-old midfield workhorse lasted the entire duration of the match for Francesco Guidolin’s side who stunned the Reds at their own backyard.
He tailored a defence-splitting pass for Antonio Di Natale who played through Giovanni Pasquale to seal the points for Les Zebrettes in the 72nd minute.
Jonjo Shelvey put Liverpool in the driving seat in the 23rd minute with a fine opener but Antonio Di Natale cancelled it out a minute after the interval.
Sebastian Coates gifted the lead to the Italians after scoring an own-goal before Giovanni Pasquale claimed the match winner for Udinese.
Luiz Suarez’s 75th minute wonderful free-kick was not enough to help Liverpool escape the defeat.
Agyemang-Badu has been nominated for the Caf African Player of the Year award.
GSN dictionary:
to impress = play normal
to shine = play below average
On point Jja….sometimes i wonder.
Exactly, i thought i was the only one who had that impression. GSN wake up.
Serious! GSN must check the use of their dictions! It’s really unfortunate.
Honestly, had I not watched the match myself, I would have believed GSN. But due to the fact that I watched it, this report is by far an absolute lie concerning the Ghanaian midfielder. He didn’t shine to say the least and liverpool was the better side except for the fact that they were outscored.
U guys should 4get GSN, is not today that they are doing this stupid thing, praising a player who had an average game.GSN Matcweeee.
