Agyare grovels over Hearts bribery allegations
Hearts of Oak defender Kofi Agyare has apologized to the club for alleging he levelled against his employers.
The defender said on a Kumasi-based radio station he was offered bribe by Hearts when he was player of Kessben FC.
He has since rendered an unqualified apology in a letter dated July 6 to the club’s Chief Executive.
“After a deep and sober reflection, I have come to concede that my unsubstantiated allegations against the club are as much in bad taste as they are a breach of club discipline.
“I therefore wish to render unqualified apology to the board, management, supporters, my colleague players and, indeed, all stakeholders and sympathizers of the club.”
“Again, my declaration on Angel FM was more as a result of an unfortunate failure on my part of exercise discretion and betrayal of confidence by a broadcaster friend than a willful attempt to publicly denigrate my employers.”
Agyare was handed an indefinite suspension for his behaviour.
As a concerned phobian and a proud shareholder of the best and greatest club in Ghana, Glorious Hearts of Oak, i think Agyare must be made to suffer the consequences of his primitive comments. Such a mere apology letter can erase the disgrace smeared on the corporate image of phobia. He must go!!
