Afriyie Acquah debuts for Parma in pre-season friendly draw

Ghana youth star Afriyie Acquah made his debut for Parma in a 3-3 friendly draw with Czech side Slavia Prague on Saturday.
The box-box midfielder replaced Jonathan Biabiany who limped off injured after only 11 minutes.
But Acquah was also substituted in the 79th minutes by Musacci.
The 20-year-old joined the Ducali this month on loan from fellow Serie A side Palermo.
His compatriot Yussif Raman Chibsah-who moved from Juventus this summer-came off the bench to take the position of Pabon after 59 minutes.
Parma’s first goal came from summer signing Amauri and Daniele Galloppa put them 2-1 up before Slavia struck twice in three minutes to go 3-2 in front.
Alessandro Lucarelli nodded in a corner to round out the 3-3 scoreline.

Too many defensive midfielders. Afriyie acquah, Yusif Rahman Chibsah, Mohammed Abu, Mubarak Wakasu, Alfred Duncan, Daniel Kofi-adjei, Amidu Salifu, Edward Toglo, Mumuni Abubakr, Emmanuel Frimpong, Dennis Appiah…etc , all very gud prospects. I wonder wat’s gonna happen if these players enjoy impressive season wit their clubs wit gr8 cameo performances. That means coach Akwesi Appiah wld have a selection Dilemma. Knwing how obsessed he is wit defensive players like Muntari, K. Asamoah, Badu, D. Boateng n Annan, i wonder how the line up wld b if the squad is swelled up wit the return of Essien, Acquah n Abu! How wld it b if these young potentials write a case for their inclusion? I pity our flamboyand attackers like Quincy, Yartey, kofi Bekoe, Nto-TOA, Tawrick Gebrine, David Accam, Frank acheampong, Enoch Manu n Adomah… Cos dey wld surely b sacrificed to create room for those defensive midfielders. It obvious AA is Star strucked n confused. Clearly, the criteria for selection is not based on ur current form & performances.. but on wat u did before. We r still living in the euphoria of past glories. Until we revolunise our squad like Germany & Brazil, i’m afraid the future is Bleak n Dark.
Please dont mingle Abu with currently good Ghanaian defensive midfielders,He’s no where near it. It was a special campaign ochestrated by Ghanasoccernet last year to get him into the national team at the peril of our best offensive midfielder Quincy Owusu-Abeyie. Thats my opinion
When other countries cherish their pacy wingers/attackers like Ribbery,Robben,Wilcot,Kalou,Nani,Gervinho,C Ronaldo etc we choose to neglect Quincy & go in for a host of defensive midfieders.its sad!
Yussif Chibsah Raman can play both offensive and defensive midfield and can also play as a playmaker. he is not a one-sided midfielder like some of them
