Samuel Affum in action for Young Boys
Ghanaian striker Samuel Affum is downed by the his disallowed debut goal for Young Boys over the weekend.
The 22-year-old thought he had scored his first goal for the Swiss club only to be ruled out for offside.
Replays however showed the referee made a mistake in disallowing the goal which should have stood.
Affum now feels hard done by the decision especially after seeing his side slump to a 2-0 defeat to Grasshopper in that game.
“I felt disappointed when the referee said I was found in the offside position because everybody who saw the replay said it was a good goal,” Affum told Goal.com Ghana.
“It was a little difficult because I haven’t played competitively for a while now.
“We lost against the league leaders and I think we have to look forward to the next games and see how it will go.”
Affum emerged the top scorer in the Ghanaian top flight in the 2009/10 season before leaving abroad.
He only joined Young Boys in January in a contested move from Egyptian club Smouha SC.
Why are we not giving people like Affum a chance to play in the Black Stars.Gyan is a dead horse and we have to get rid of him if we want to improve Ghana soccer.
Are u the first player to see a goal disallowed? U pple should give us a break.
