Ex-Ghana winger Windsor Kofi Abbrey misplaced the cheque for GHC 18,000 received from the government as a reward package for winning the 1982 Africa Cup of Nations in Libya.

The Ministry of Sports presented a cheque of 1.7 million Ghana cedis to four generations of Black Stars players for winning the Africa Cup of Nations titles after previous failed government promises.

"It got to my turn, I took my cheque and rushed back to the Accra Sports stadium to pick my bag because I was so happy after receiving the amount but I got there and realised I had lost my cheque."
