Cameroon made it two wins from two in Group D thanks to a brace apiece from Vincent Aboubakar and Clinton N'Jie who scored either side of the break to help the Indomitable Lions to a 4-1 win over the Ivory Coast in a 2015 African Cup of Nations Qualifier in Yaoundé on Wednesday.Â
Cameroon took the lead in the 15th minute through youngster Clinton N'Jie who burst into the area before firing a left footed shot past Boubacar Barry to net his second goal in two games for the four time Afcon champions.
Yaya Toure though silenced the crowd at the Ahmadou Ahidjo Stadium a mere 10 minutes later, finishing off from close range following a mistake from Cameroon shot stopper Fabrice Ondoa.
Aboubakar restored the hosts lead in the 37th minute, latching onto Maxim Choupo-Moting's chip into the area.
The Porto forward doubled the Indomitable Lions lead nine minutes into the second half, directing N'Jie's pin point pass past Barry.
The sturdy forward returned the favour in the the 76th minute, picking out the Lyon forward who controlled the ball on his chest before firing home on the volley.
DR Congo next host the Elephants while Cameroon travel to Sierra Leone next month.
