Glo Premier League side Aduana Stars rounded up their pre-season campaign with a slim 1-0 win over third-tier side Sampa United at Sampa on Sunday.
A Daniel Gozah first half strike claimed victory for the Dormaa-based side in their final warm-up game ahead of the new season.
Trainer Kwabena Ameyaw who was appointed in August to replace the departed Romanian tactician Aristica Cioaba, used the game to assess his side’s battle readiness for their league opener against Wa All Stars in Wa next weekend.
Midfielder Johnson Adomah claims the ‘Fire club’ is ready to take All Stars by the horn.
“It was a good game for the team. I think it presented us with the necessary challenge for the All Stars’ game on Sunday,” he said after the game.
The 2009/10 champions have targeted an improved season after failing to finish in a top four spot in last season’s campaign.
