Aduana pip Edubiase to push up in Ghana league

Aduana Stars emerged victorious over Edubiase

Aduana Stars managed a slim 1-0 win over New Edubiase United in the outstanding Ghanaian Premier League fixture on Wednesday.

A second half strike from Alex Asamoah earned the hosts all three points which pushes them to third place in the Ghanaian top flight.

The ex Asante Kotoko forward made all the difference in the tight game with his second strike in two games for the ‘Fire Club’ in the 56th minute.

Coach Kwabena Ameyaw’s side were not at their fluent best but still managed to outclass the dethroned CAF Confederations Cup campaigners at the Agyemang Badu Park.

Edubiase could have made things difficult for their host inside the first quarter but Stephen Manu was not sharp enough upfront.

Aduana knew victory at home will push them back into the top and they resolved to work for the three points after the break and Asamoah got them the much-needed goal.
