Aduana Stars’ chief George Gyawu has cautioned against an over-exaggerated joy in their Premier League win at All Stars.
The 2010 champions secured a surprising 2-1 win in the season’s opener at the Wa Park on Sunday.
The tough away win has got fans excited over the team’s prospect this term and are already talking of the title.
But the Operations Director remains rooted as the Dormaa-based club aim at taking it a game at a time.
“We are all happy after Sunday’s win at Wa and the team needs to be congratulated for it,” he told GHANAsoccernet.com
“However fans should be reminded it is just one game of a whole season to play and therefore be measured in their expectations.
“We as a club will work continuously hard to get a win in each and every game but we can’t get carried away by this win.”
Gyawu also praised the comportment of the home fans in Wa.
“I took note of the way the home fans comported themselves even when faced with a defeat,” he said.
“I only hope all the teams take a cue and emulate this exemplary conduct of the fans.
