Kwabena Ameyaw is delighted that Bernard Don Bortey will return to the Aduana Stars line-up next weekend after serving a one-year ban.

The 29-year-old was handed the hefty punishment by the Ghana FA after he assaulted a centre referee during a Ghana MTN FA Cup against second-tier King Solomon last year.

The former Hearts of Oak talisman is set to make his comeback next weekend and their trainer is thrilled the player’s suspension has come to an end and cannot wait to see him return to the pitch.

“We’re very happy that the ban has ended and he will be involved at some point in the League,” Ameyaw said

“Don Bortey is an important player for us and we cannot wait for him to get on the pitch.

“I believe he has learnt his lesson and will bring a positive impact to the team.

Bortey could be available for Aduana’s next Premier League game next weekend.
