Aduana aim at inflicting more misery on Kotoko

Aduana ready to hand Kotoko first league defeat of the season

By Ameenu Shardow

Aduana Stars’ Operations Director George Gyawu insists Asante Kotoko will be handed their first Premier League defeat of the season at the Dormaa Park on Wednesday.

The champions are still in search of their first win of the campaign haven drawn their first three games.

Kotoko now travel to the dreaded Agyemang Badu Park for the midweek clash against a yet-to-be-beaten Aduana side who lie eight places above the Porcupine Warriors.

Last season’s home and away games involving the two teams ended in draws but Gyawu is adamant Aduana will take all three points on offer to inflict more misery to Kotoko.

“Kotoko have not won a game this season and are very desperate for a win, but not at the expense of Aduana in Dormaa,” he told Accra-based Asempa FM.

“The players, technical team and the fans have promised a win and I am sure they will deliver.

“I would have adviced that Kotoko don’t even contemplate coming to Dormaa since it will be an act in futility.

“But if they don’t, they will be docked points per the Premier League rules.

“So they should just come and take their defeat. It is a mere formality.”

Aduana after impressing in their opening day win at All Stars have gone two games without a win after drawing with Berekum Chelsea and Real Tamale United.
