Ghana winger Albert Adomah continued his outstanding form in the English Championship on Saturday when he scored his eighth goal of the season, boosting his chances of making the Black Stars squad for the 2014 World Cup.

Adomah’s second-half strike helped Middlesbrough to a 2-0 victory at Millwall – their first away victory since the opening game of the English Championship season.

Argentine Emmanuel Ledesma, making his first league start of the campaign, opened the scoring before Adomah added a second late on as the Lions saw a seven-game unbeaten run at The Den end.

Ledesma came on as a first half substitute and curled a delightful effort past Forde just after the break and Adomah wrapped up the points in the 89th minute.

Argentinian midfielder Ledesma picked up possession on the edge of the box, cut inside Paul Robinson and bent a left-footed effort past a sprawling David Forde and into the bottom corner.

Forde could do little to prevent Adomah wrapping up the points in the final minute as the Ghanaian rounded him and tapped into an empty net.

Adomah will do his chances of making Ghana’s World Cup squad a lot of good his his blistering form continues like this.

Its a must that Adomah is included in the Ghana squad. He is one of a few who gets reqular football. He is the only original right winger we have.

  2. Prof says:

rubbish rubbish rubbish rubbish….ur cousin or inlaw Adomah does not deserve Black Star

    • Scouterforghana says:

Tell me why he doesnt derseve a place? Lol stupid boy. The guy is in form. Theres too much politics and corruption in the ghana team selection. If players are selected on merits then i dont see why adomah should be left out! If ghana was to maintain the same players they had for the qualifies we will go far in the wc. But these greedy fa guys wants to bring in new players. Bribes n coruptions.

  3. He-goat says:

I do wonder why Coach Appiah do not introduce Adomah into BS games even as a substitute.
What Adoma lacks in skill, he has it plenty in speed and pinpoint crosses.
His crosses are better than that of Solomon Asante and co.
We need as a subsitute to put pressure on the oponents defence, thus not allwing them to attack.
Adomah plays the typical english football – speed and hard shooting.
Please coach Appiah, do not rate Adomah on skills only.
    Thank you for listening.

  4. top ranking says:

AA does not know how to select good players for the team.he rather prefers players who are not regulars in their various teams.he should keep experimenting with the national team, klinsmann will be waiting for him.he should make sure he qualifys the team in the group stages or he must be fired.how can AA field dauda who is a 3rd choice keeper at orlando pirates and bench kwarasey who is a regular, captain and the best goalie in the norwagian league.AA is not serious and a real joke.how can AA give john mensah who is clubless and not field Adam.this is bullshit!

  5. Dr Who says:

Adomah is the only natural right winger we have in the BS.our midfield lacks pace and its only a fool who lacks ideas will drop such a player for slow midfielders.

  6. anokwale says:

Adomah will be there. He is the only natural right footed winger and he can be a striker if necessary. He lacks creativity but he knows his limitations and tries his best.

  7. Fred B. Kyeremeh says:

I wonder why some of you guys are insulting the coach for lack of playing time for Adomah in the Black Stars in recent times.
He is a great player and that is why he keeps getting call ups into the team, but let us not forget that only 11 players on the maximum can play at a time. His time will come and no one can deny him of his chance. He had opportunities at the CAN and we all saw what he could do.He is playing very well at Boro this season and I have no doubt that when he gets another opportunity as a starter in the team again he will impress. Meanwhile, let us acknowledge the fact that all those players who are getting play time in the team also deserve to play.It is unfortunate that our midfield boast of some of the best players around and it will be difficult for him to play ahead of some of these guys. The coach in my opinion has done nothing wrong by playing others ahead of Adomah.Let us all be honest and objective in our analysis and put bias of personal preference of some players over others aside.
Our last game had Muntari and Essien in the holding role,(position where Adomah does not compete),Dede Ayew and Kwadwo Asamoah on the wings(Positions where Adomah plays),with Gyan and Warris in attack. Which of these players would Adomah have played ahead of? I think the coach used his best players available. The fact that Kevin Boateng(played a few minutes) also started from the bench should tell us that Adomah faces a herculean task to break into the starting eleven of the team. Wakaso and Agyeman Badu came on at key times for specific roles and these guys were seen as better options in those roles than Adomah.I like Adomah so much but I think we are making a case out of nothing in this regard. The coach did nothing wrong.
Adomah’s play as a powerful speedster will be an advantage to the team depending on what opposition and tactics are being employed by the technical team.He cannot play in every game.Let us encourage him to work harder and not read meanings into his non playing time. His time will surely come.God bless GHANA.
