Ghanaian ace commentator Moses Foh Amoaning expects veteran goalkeeper Richard Kingson to play against Egypt in next month’s World Cup playoffs first leg tie in Kumasi.
The 35-year-old is believed to be nearing a shock return to the national team after joining Cyprios side Doxa Katokopias.
The veteran commentator Foh Amoaning says the ability of the former Blackpool man to command the backline is unrivaled.
“Fatau Dauda was not bad at the Cup of Nations [in South Africa] but to be honest with you he conceded over seven goals,” Foh Amoaning told Citi FM.
“Unfortunately for him he made the decision to go to Orlando Pirates and he’s a second class goalkeeper and not been active for the last two months you don’t want to go into a make or break game who doesn’t have the World Cup pedigree and is also not active.”
“His appearances at the two World Cups have proven that he was a great shot stopper.
“I think he is at least regular and active and he will break a lot of command between the sticks, because that’s also a key function of the goalkeeper.”
