Striker David Accam is hopeful Ghanaââ¬â¢s trophy drought is about ending with the appointment of Avram Grant as coach.
The Black Stars will be playing under the Israeli at the 2015 Africa Cup of Nations in Equatorial Guinea.
Grant was announced as the substantive replacement for Kwesi Appiah who was fired back in September.
And while the former Chelsea boss is not expected to win next yearââ¬â¢s tournament, Acca, who has just signed for American MLS club Chicago Fire believes Grant is the man to end the Black Starsââ¬â¢ trophy drought.
ââ¬ÅI know Avram Grant is a quality coach,â⬠he said.
ââ¬ÅHe has coached at a high level so he will bring a lot of options and qualities to the team, and I hope this will change something in Black Stars and bring us trophies.ââ¬
Ghana is drawn in the toughest group at the 2015 AFCON where they will be facing South Africa, Algeria and Senegal in Group B which will be based in Mongomo.
