Andre Ayew subject of intense transfer talks

AC Milan have quenched talks over a possible move for Ghana winger Andre Ayew.

The club is on a hunt for a left-footed winger – leading to reports they could be making a swoop for Andre Ayew or Hatem Ben Arfa.

Milan’s preferred signing is Torino’s Alessio Cerci but his heavy price tag is proving a huge stumbling block.

The Rossoneri have therefore been looking at other options with reported mentions of Ayew and Ben Arfa.

But the club’s official media channel has confirmed that both Andre Ayew and Ben Arfa are not targets for manager Fillipo Inzaghi.

Rather, the Italian giants are reportedly looking at Costa Rica’s 2014 World Cup sensation Joel Campbell.

Ayew has been a subject of intense transfer talks for the past three seasons.

He has on all these occasions been considered not for sale by his French club Olympique Marseille.
